Our Shepherd
In the year of our Lord 1987, the Hopewell Missionary
Baptist Church found herself without a shepherd.
In the summer of the same year, the Lord sent, and
Hopewell called, Timothy J. Woods as Pastor. Pastor
Woods accepted the call and he brought to the church a
sense of urgency for evangelism and discipleship. The
church has since adopted a motto: “SOULS ARE OUR
GOAL”.
Pastor Woods is a sought-after preacher, teacher and
revivalist. In a time of much doctrinal division, false
teaching, and on-going heresies, Pastor Woods remains
adamant and insistent about sound doctrine.
